Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort lies 15 minutes south of the city centre and 40 minutes from Seeb International Airport. The overall development will include a 1,200 square meters Talise Spa, a diving centre, a wide range of sports and leisure facilities, a selection of restaurants, bars and cafes and a kids club. The resort will also include conference and banquet facilities to cater for Oman's growing attraction as a destination for conferences, meetings and large-scale events. The resort forms part of a larger development that includes 300 high-end residential townhouses and villas, taking advantage of some of the most beautiful, unspoilt coastline in the Middle East. About the role An exciting role has arisen for a talented Maintenance Manager Role to join the pre-opening at Jumeirah Muscat Bay Resort. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the implementation of the " Jumeirah Engineering Management System" and the appointment of suitable competent personnel.

Your key responsibilities will include: · Supervises and directs the daily activities of all Engineering Department Supervisors and Subordinates. · Observes activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures. · Check on completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met. · Assists in the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the JEMS (Jumeirah Engineering Management System .This will include the Fire, Life and Safety Matrix, PPM, Work Order Systems, etc.). · Handles grievances, suggestions and complaints by colleagues and recommends appropriate action to the Resident Engineer / Director of Engineering Submits a comprehensive monthly report to the Resident Engineer / Director of Engineering on activities carried out for the month (if required). . Request support and direction as needed. . Ensures effective operation of all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by implementing and managing a preventive maintenance program. Closely monitors the condition of the physical property and equipment by conducting regular inspections of the building. Ensures that preventive maintenance schedules are in operation and regularly upgraded whenever possible. . Follow - up on all operational breakdowns, required materials etc. and to ensure fixing all the issues related to the breakdowns. . Area of Responsibility upkeep and maintenance must be ensured. . Maintaining assets must be ensured. . To deal and coordinate with external service providers and external contractors (labours etc.) onsite to ensure the upkeep of the system is up to the standards. . Ensures the quality of the work completed by both subordinates and external contracted staff, adheres to the standards of good engineering practices . To carry out Quality Assurance / Quality Control spot checks on colleagues work . Be familiar of Jumeirah Policy and Procedures. . Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures. To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require Assists in the building of an efficient team of employees, by taking an active interest in their training, development, safety and welfare . Identify training needs and coordinate requirements . Participates in training and development programs to improve personal or departmental standards liaising with the Training Manager . Carries out an efficient leadership style using appraisals and performance management as main tools

Qualifications - External About You In order to be considered for this role, you should have the below qualifications and experiences.

Essential: . Mechanical or Electrical diploma or equivalent . 2 Years formal training . Minimum of 5 Years in a Five star Hotel environment . 5 years supervisory experience in a similar position . Good verbal and written English skills . Good communication skills . Additional languages preferred . Basic computer knowledge . Knowledge of FLS . Knowledge of High rise buildings . Understand HVAC Systems . Understand Electrical systems . Interpreting Drawings . Project planning . Health and safety . Flexibility with Guests . Problem solving and follow up abilities

Desirable: . Higher diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering . 8 Years experience in Five star Hotel environment . Knowledge of BMS . Knowledge of computer maintenance management systems . Root Cause Failure analysis . Life Cycle costing
