This is a modern progressive mixed farm in Oman delivering the highest standard organic produce. We have a state-of-the-art livestock facility for our pedigree cows, milking goats, pedigree sheep, and poultry operations. Additionally, we operate a varied horticulture and fruit operation consisting of various house types and growing systems, all to the highest organic standards.
Our planting areas are supported by our growing apiary, and we operate a self-sustaining and growing operation. From our onsite new accommodation, onsite laboratory, cold storage and processing facilities the farm is dynamic and continually evolving into operations all backed up by onsite training and staff support.
Beekeeper – Responsibilities
- Person will be responsible initially for 60 hives with plans to expand to 250.
- They will be expected to develop new hives with the introduction of new queens.
- Hives situated over 3 sites, requiring moving at certain times, person fully responsible for health of hives, harvesting and supporting both food and water as needed through height of summer.
- Specialized Sidr honey production for 3 months and multifloral for rest of time.
- Honey testing done in on-site laboratory.
Job Location: The job location will be in Barka, Oman, approximately 100 km away from Muscat.
