Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English language, literature, grammar and composition, along with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that align with Edexcel curriculum standards.Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to participate.Incorporate differentiation and a variety of learning strategies in lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students.Assess student progress regularly through various methods including tests, quizzes, projects, discussions and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.Foster a love for reading and literature by introducing students to a wide range of literary works from different genres and cultures.Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate English language skills with other subject areas.Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and administrators to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in English Language/Literature or a related fieldTeaching certification – PGCE/QTSProven experience of teaching the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3-4Strong knowledge of English grammar, composition and literary analysis.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
