1. Work in accordance with the policies of the hospital, including its mission, vision, and core values.
2. Report directly to the radiology coordinator or Head of Department (HOD).
3. Supervise junior radiography staff and oversee their duties.
4. Perform routine radiography and assist radiologists in special procedures.
5. Conduct CT studies, ensure patient safety in the CT room, coordinate workflow with reception and staff, and handle filming and CD creation of CT studies when required.
6. Assist radiologists in administering IV contrast.
7. Provide proper instructions to patients.
8. Administer oral or rectal contrast as needed.
9. Take films or copy CDs of studies when required.
10. Inform referring doctors or radiologists of any pertinent findings that may influence immediate patient management.
11. Maintain patient flow in the department by optimal utilization of rooms and facilities according to examination requirements and staff resources.
12. Train junior staff in their duties.
13. Perform routine and specialized X-ray examinations within established policies and procedures.
14. Participate in departmental duty schedules, which may include working on holidays and on-call duties.
15. Undertake any other duties within the scope of the job, including documentation, reports, and records.
16. Actively participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities as directed by the HOD or delegated consultant.
17. Participate in quality assurance activities.
18. Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the HOD or administration.
19. Contribute to hospital quality programs and serve as a member of quality committees if selected.
