Role Objectives:

Manage and ensure the continuing airworthiness of aircraft engines and APUs, which includes engine health monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability analysis, and compliance with all regulatory, manufacturer and company requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operation

1. Ensure compliance with EASA/FAA/ CAA Oman or other applicable regulatory requirements for powerplants & APUs.

2. Monitor engine and APU airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and manufacturer recommendations.

3. Evaluate ADs, SBs and Service Letters related to engines/APUs and issue applicable document (Engineering Order, Special Work Instructions, Technical Notices, raising AMS Amendments, FONs and other technical document amendments etc.).

4. Coordinate and plan shop visits, engine/APU changes, and borescope inspections and other special inspections as required.

5. Track LLP (Life Limited Parts) and monitor cycles/hours against limits.

6. Monitor engine/APU performance, and trend analysis through Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM) and ETOPS requirements.

7. Conduct root cause analysis of in-flight shutdowns (IFSDs), engine-related delays, or failures.

8. Support reliability programs and contribute to reliability review and cost reduction.

9. Review and verify engine work-scopes, shop visit reports, LLP certification, and modification status.

10. Review and verify invoices related to Engine and APU shop visits, repair and modification.

11. Provide technical support to Line and Base Maintenance for engine-related tasks.

12. Provide technical support during quality and safety investigations.

13. Implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions in response to internal and external audit findings.

14. Liaise with OEMs (e.g., Rolls-Royce, GE, CFM, Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney) and MROs for technical issues and maintenance support)

15. Coordinate with other CAMO sections, maintenance, logistics, procurement and planning departments related to engine and APU.

16. Support aircraft Lease-in/Lease-out/lease return/delivery processes and operational requirements with detailed engine / APU data and documentation.

17. Propose revisions to company documentation such as CAME, EPMs, and related manuals whenever necessary.

18. Undertake other duties as requested by Functional Head Development Engineering and supervisors ensuring timeliness and utmost effective in completing the assigned tasks.

19. Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the Management.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferably in Engineering (Mechanical / Aeronautical or similar) with 2 years of related experience preferably in a technical function of an aviation industry.

OR ICAO Type II license with 4 years of related experience

Skills & Knowledge:

Proficient in English (Spoken & Written)

Proficient in MS Office.
