Job Duties

Under broad direction, responsible for leading plant or area level inventory planning meetings, setting and maintaining material requirements planning (MRP) data, running analytics to optimize inventory levels, and developing inventory strategies for multiple product service lines. Additionally, this role will provide coaching and training to Material Control Specialists and, in some cases, serve as a team lead for small groups or project teams ranging from 1-5 employees. The role requires an understanding of inventory planning. It will also involve identifying and implementing continuous improvement efforts across the basic inventory management functions for the area supported, including sales order delivery process and reconciliation, goods issue and receiving process, warehouse optimization, and developing solutions to address gaps. The position will interface with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing customer service representatives to prioritize orders, monitor lead times, provide forecast information, and resolve issues. It requires interaction with product service lines (PSL) and other support groups, along with compliance with the company's safety programs. The role has a direct impact on meeting financial goals and objectives for the business. Candidates should have a minimum of a two-year degree; a four-year undergraduate degree in supply chain, engineering/applied math, finance/accounting, or business is preferred. A minimum of four years' related experience in a warehouse or operations environment, or a combination of a four-year degree plus 2 years of work experience, is required. Strong computer skills and analytical abilities are necessary to resolve problems.
