I&C Engineer

What we need?

I&C Engineer will carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, in a safe manner, of I&C systems & equipment to ensure high reliability, availability and reduced failure. Will take care of all I&C maintenance work in the plant and guides the team to achieve high reliability and availability of I&C systems, without compromising in any way the safety of person and equipment. Should be a team player with proactive attitude and dedicated to the above work requirements and in addition displays willingness to take on any added responsibility as dictated on a day to day basis under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.

Preventive Maintenance Scheduling:

• Schedule maintenance of C&I systems and/or equipment, mainly related to RO Plant, in order to ensure that their recommended intervals of checks and tests as well as any part replacements are done in accordance to OEM recommendation and / or insurance guidelines.

Root Cause Analysis of Breakdowns:

• Carry out Root Cause Analysis for every unplanned outage or breakdown that stems from his area of responsibility. Takes proactive action to mitigate and prevent such reoccurrences.

Reliability Centred Maintenance:

• Develop key concepts for C&I equipment that can be moved from Preventive to Reliability centred maintenance.

Asset List and Equipment History:

• Develop a list of all C&I assets in a logical sequence and maintain proper history of each.

Compiling Reports:

• At the end of each month, the activity of the section is to be furnished in a proper report.
• In case of any trips or abnormal operation in C&I systems, a proper report is to be furnished to the higher management.
• At end of every inspection, a detailed report to be furnished indicating activities carried out, material & manpower used, costs and any noticed points of concern.

Spare Parts and Inventory Management:

• List the critical spares required to maintain plant availability with economical investment.
• Allocate Min/Max level for the inventory items and consumables.
• Codify and implement stock controls.

Safety Surveillance:

• Undertake safety surveillance in all work areas to ensure proper implementation of and compliance with all company safety procedures, precautions and rules, PPE etc.; monitors the implementation of the work permit system within the company.

Who will fit?

• A Bachelor degree holder in Instrumentation or Control or Electronics Engineering.
• 10 years' experience of working with C&I systems, ideally in a Power station.
• Prior experience of preventive & predictive maintenance in I&C systems.
