Job Purpose:

The Junior Officer – Remedial assists the Remedial function in handling delinquent and non-performing accounts. He/ She supports follow-ups, documentation, system updates, and basic customer interactions. The Junior Officer – Remedial ensures timely administrative support for recovery activities, maintains accurate records, and contributes to the execution of daily remedial operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assists in monitoring delinquent accounts and supports recovery follow-up activities.
  • Prepares and updates recovery files, trackers, and MIS reports for internal use.
  • Coordinates with customers for document submissions, payment reminders, and basic inquiries.
  • Updates system records accurately and timely data related to customer communications and repayments.
  • Escalates complex or unresolved matters to senior staff for appropriate handling.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive customer data.
  • Supports the team in preparing documentation for legal referrals when required.
  • Ensures consistent support to the Remedial team in the day-to-day recovery operations.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders such as Collections, Legal Affairs, and Operations to ensure smooth case handling.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School General Diploma is desired. A Diploma in Banking or Business-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Banking or financial sectors within a remedial or collection department is preferred.
  • Proven hands-on experience in performing a similar role within the banking or financial sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking regulations and financial compliance.
  • Familiarity with delinquency management or basic recovery processes is an advantage.
