A reputable construction company in Al Buraymi is seeking an experienced Mason to join our team. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone or concrete. Your main duties will include preparing and laying bricks, mixing and applying mortar, cutting and shaping stones, and ensuring that all work is done efficiently and according to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare surfaces by cleaning them and laying out appropriate tools and materials
2. Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine layout of structures
3. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil or chalk
4. Cut or break bricks, stones or blocks to desired size using hand tools
5. Mix mortar according to specified proportions
6. Lay bricks in courses, spreading mortar between courses and tapping bricks into place with hammer or trowel
7. Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers and saws to shape stones for fitting around obstacles or into odd spaces
8. Check vertical and horizontal alignment of courses using plumb bob, spirit level or straightedge
9. Repair cracks in existing brickwork or fill holes with grout using trowel
10. Clean excess mortar from surface of freshly laid brickwork using water hose

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry
2. Ability to read blueprints/drawings and take accurate measurements
3. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations and procedures
4. Excellent knowledge of various masonry materials/tools/equipment/techniques
5. Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
6. Ability to work at heights

Salary: 1400 USD per month (negotiable based on experience).
