OHLC Forklift Operator

Key Deliverables:

Assistant Operator must have the initiative and the ability to develop and support the production line, production team of operators TWD and stranding machine or at any site in the production lines according to the work requirements in order to reach the company. Assistant Operator responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following in the company's production line:

• Follow the safety rules and regulations as per the company policy.
• Proper loading of coils/wire rods in pay-off stands and perform cold pressure welding techniques of wire rods.
• Support the team in preparing twin wire drawing machine, converting any specific sizes/wire rods of Aluminum/Aluminum alloy to the required small sizes in spools/baskets in a wire drawing machine.
• Operation of overhead crane and forklift for the movement of coils, baskets, and drums.
• Maintaining housekeeping.
• Minimizing operating costs.
• Proper selection of dies and keeping the wire drawing machine clean and in good condition.

STRANDING

• Support the team in proper loading of wire baskets in bobbins of stranding.
• Properly set the conductors as per the CMS in the stranding machine.
• Load the take-up drums and operate the machine to produce conductors.
• Properly unload the finished conductors and tag them correctly.
• Perform cold pressure and butt welding techniques of wires.
• Support in operating the overhead line conductor machines as per work instructions and keep proper records in the logbook.
• Operate overhead crane and forklift for the movement of baskets and drums.
• Work on a shift basis, including overtime as required.
• Maintain a good attendance record and follow all company rules and regulations.
• Highlight any product or material defect/non-conformances to the Supervisor/Engineer.
• Follow safety and quality system procedures, practices, and maintain the housekeeping of the workplace as per OAPIL IMS and OAPIL HSE Standard.
• Management/Team leader/Direct Line report can assign you any related task as deemed fit in process operation area to enhance operating skills and reserves the right to transfer you to other departments when needed to develop multitasking.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/High School with experience in a conductor manufacturing company.
• 3-4 years' experience in conductor line process.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Basic technical skills.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Safe driving of forklifts and overhead crane operation process.
• Wire welding skills.
• Creative thinking to optimize productivity.

Experience:

• Fresh High School graduate or 1 year of similar experience in related industries within the Middle East.
