Responsibilities- Fully Adhere to COMPANY'S safety and ethics rules, procedures, and Values
- Strive for "no accidents, no harm to people, and no damage to environmental by implementing industry safety practices and complying to COMPANY'S life saving rules at all times.
- Conduct inspections, incident investigations, hazard assessments, and health and safety training for the workforce
- Lead risk assessments, safety cases and setting up of HSE plans, and management of Change with HSE
- Consult and coach the workforce on health, safety, and environmental procedures, hazard identification, and training to promote awareness
- Participate in audits, identify gaps, develop closure plans, and support incident investigations and risk assessments
- Provide guidance on safety aspects of site activities, identifying emerging risks and ensuring compliance with COMPANY and industry standards
- Foster transparent safety reporting (e.g., observations, near misses, SOCs) and workforce engagement, including local safety initiatives
- Develop and deliver safety training focused on human performance, emphasizing tools to reduce errors, such as Task Improvement and related process tools
- Engage in site risk management activities, including hazard identification, risk assessments, toolbox talks, equipment inspections, and radiological protection
- Conduct self-verification using HSE and GOO Self-Verification Handbooks
- Oversee contractor activities and maintain emergency response capabilities by training emergency teams and conducting regular drills
- Incorporating learnings to enhance ERPs and response
- Investigate near misses and incidents using tools like 5 Whys and Logic Tree, including Human Factors Analysis; develop insights from safety observations, safety reports, near misses, incidents, self-verifications, emergency drills, KPIs, audits and contractor HSE data
- Lead HSE site meetings, review trends and insights, advise on IRIS usage, and track action closure
- Support regulator inspections, maintain local safety cases, and report breaches as required
- Enhance environmental performance by identifying sustainable GHG reductions and managing waste, air, and water emissions in line with COMPANY standards
- Drive continuous improvement in contractor HSE performance, ensuring compliance with COMPANY'S standards, procedures, and HSE requirements
- Strengthen the safety culture by implementing campaigns and initiatives, fostering human performance understanding, and promoting care
- Ensure compliance with COMPANY'S HSE OMS requirements and applicable legislation
- Offer challenge, coaching, and support to site managers and teams to achieve continuous HSE improvement
- Degree or NEBOSH (National Educational Board of Occupational Safety & Health)
- Certificate / Diploma or British Safety Council International Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent HSE qualifications
- Certificate in Environment Management System (e.g., ISO 14001 Lead auditor's course)
- Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis skills
- Emergency Response certificate
- Process safety for technicians
- Advanced Knowledge of Control of Work
- Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH)
A minimum of 6 years' experience in HSE operations in oil and gas industry. For Omani Candidates refer C7.
