The role of a Product Marketing Manager - IoT at Canonical

Canonical is seeking a Product Marketing Manager IoT responsible for developing global marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for Canonical's IoT portfolio. This hands-on, multidisciplinary role requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Content, Sales, and other Marketing teams.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and its marketing, enjoys ownership of campaigns, collaboration, learning, curiosity, and continuous improvement. They should be problem-solvers, hands-on, experimental, and data-driven, leveraging automation to streamline processes.

This position reports to the product marketing lead within the marketing team.

Location: Remote in the EMEA region.

What your day will look like
  1. Manage go-to-market planning and execution for Canonical's IoT products.
  2. Lead content dissemination, campaign development, and product launch planning.
  3. Develop compelling messaging emphasizing business value for target audiences throughout the buying journey.
  4. Implement customer communications and marketing programs for upselling and cross-selling.
  5. Collaborate with demand generation teams, utilizing data to optimize marketing strategies and funnels.
  6. Coordinate events, webinars, and support paid and social media promotions.
  7. Create and publish content aligned with marketing campaigns.
  8. Monitor the competitive landscape to define differentiated product positioning.
