Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI


• Model, optimize, and manage relational schemas in PostgreSQL


• Integrate third-party services (e.g., ChatGPT API, payment gateways, external REST/SOAP APIs)


• Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests (pytest)


• Collaborate with frontend (Svelte/Tailwind) and DevOps teams to deploy services on Google Cloud


• Participate in code reviews, maintain coding standards, and enforce best practices


• Monitor production performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes promptly


• Document API specifications, data models, and deployment processes (OpenAPI, Markdown)

Skills

Required Skills
• Expert in Python and FastAPI


• Strong SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL


• Familiarity with async programming (asyncio, async SQL drivers)


• Containerization with Docker; orchestration with Kubernetes


• CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent


• Unit testing frameworks, mocking libraries, coverage tooling


• Monitoring/logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack


• Documentation tools: OpenAPI/Swagger, Markdown
