The Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care & Research Center (SQCCCRC) in Muscat Oman a Quaternary care level center providing care for adult patients with solid malignancies (No hematological malignancies).

SQCCCRC is seeking to appoint Medical Officer, who is a highly motivated individual to develop her/his professional career within the SQCCCRC. The center is in a family-friendly area, while offering young singles many options for an active outdoor and social scene.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Basic medical degree from recognized institution.

Experience Post Post-Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience after internship in dealing with adult patients with various medical conditions.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of CCCRC
  • Performs all duties assigned to his designation
  • Examine the patients, and record the history, in a safe, compassionate and ethical manner and in compliance with Good Medical Practice.
  • Request investigations, and record the results in the medical chart.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds, and record the notes about patient progress and health status.
  • Work according to the management plan approved by the registrar / consultant in-charge
  • Work as a team member during the on-call duties to ensure organization of comprehensive patient management.
  • Assist senior members of the team in performing invasive procedures.
  • Handle common clinical scenarios and emergency situations such as, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and then communicate with the senior members of the team.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Participate in inter-departmental clinical meetings to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Participates in health education programs through orientation and scientific presentations
  • Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the chairperson / head of the department

Salary will be based upon qualification, experience and availability of vacancy, using Oman Medical Bylaw.
