JOB PURPOSE:

To lead and oversee all financial activities, strategy, and financial governance at TPO. The Finance Lead ensures robust financial management, accurate reporting, and alignment with regulatory standards while supporting strategic decision-making at the executive level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Lead the preparation and review of the company's monthly and annual Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting to shareholders and executive leadership.


• Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and YTD performance, presenting insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.


• Oversee the timely submission of end-of-month financial reports, ensuring submission by the 6th of the following month.


• Supervise the verification and reconciliation of contracts, orders, and vouchers; ensure financial accuracy prior to settlement.


• Guide the finance team in compiling and analyzing financial data for general ledger entries and financial documentation.


• Review and approve monthly transactional activities, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.


• Oversee and ensure accurate reconciliation of training recharges and other internal costing models.


• Supervise invoicing, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and payroll processes to maintain financial integrity and operational flow.


• Drive overdue payments collection and cash flow optimization strategies.


• Manage and enhance the use of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for financial operations.


• Ensure full compliance with IFRS, VAT, and TAX regulations, including accurate reporting and submissions.


• Coordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.


• Lead banking operations, cash flow forecasting, and shareholder cash calls to ensure liquidity.


• Prepare and present financial reports and strategic updates for the Board of Directors.


• Support Business Development by overseeing cost modeling for training programs, pricing strategies, and financial components of commercial proposals.


• Maintain and continuously improve documented systems of financial policies, controls, and procedures.


• Proactively identify financial risks and recommend strategic mitigations.


• Lead the finance team, providing mentorship, performance oversight, and professional development.


• Manage relationships with banking partners, regulatory bodies, and key financial stakeholders.


• Perform other strategic finance duties as assigned by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.


• Professional certifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CAT) are preferred.


• Minimum of 6–8 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
