Role Overview

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Finance Controller / Finance Team Lead based in Oman to lead financial operations and investor reporting. This person will work closely with the executive team to manage budgets, ensure compliance, build investor-ready reporting structures, and support fundraising strategy. You will be the financial backbone of our startup — ensuring discipline, visibility, and strategic financial insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting
• Prepare investor-ready monthly financial reports and provide insights into burn rate, runway, and KPIs
• Partner with the CEO and founders on financial strategy and capital planning
• Support ongoing and future fundraising activities, including due diligence and data room management
• Ensure full compliance with local regulations, tax filings, and financial governance standards
• Build internal financial systems and workflows to scale with company growth
• Coordinate with auditors, external accountants, and legal teams when necessary
• Develop dashboards and internal reports to track key financial and operational metrics
• Support compensation planning, ESOP modeling, and resource allocation strategy
• Bring financial discipline to procurement, vendor management, and expense oversight

Requirements

• Based in Oman, with full legal working rights
• 5+ years of relevant experience in financial leadership roles (e.g., Controller, CFO, FP&A Lead)
• Prior experience working with or within early-stage startups and tech companies
• Strong grasp of investor reporting, fundraising, and startup financial modeling
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
• High proficiency in financial tools (Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks/Xero, or equivalents)
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics, burn/runway tracking, and equity planning
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments
