Quantity Surveying Engineer

Cost Management:

·Monitoring
of project Budget and provide cost control to ensure stability of financials of
the projects.

·Assess
work completed, evaluate, verify and certified all interim payments for all
services providers.

·Ensurefinalreleaseofpaymentsaftertechnicalandfinancialreviewandverificationforendorsement.

·Provide
financial advice and prepare final account to close contracts financially.

·Managing
financial risk and propose mitigation strategies.

Pre – Contracting:

·Prepare/ review and Finalizeoftenderdocumentsincludingpreparationofpricingmechanismandmanage procurement
process.

·Guidetheassignedsponsoringdepartmentswhilereviewingthecontentoftenderannouncementandtenderclarification.

·Activelyparticipatesduringevaluationoftenders,commercialnegotiationwithTenderer's analyzing of bids.

Review awardplansubmissionsandletterofawardsandmaintainstrictconfidentialityandethicsonallcontractualmatters

·Prepare
draft contract documents, incorporating all negotiations with legals and
awarded services.

Post – Contracting:

·Provideprofessionaladvice,expertise,andpracticalassistancetoallassignedend-usersectionswithintheAssets
DevelopmentDepartmentinallcontractualmattersfrominceptionoftheprojecttillclose-outofcontracts.

·Reviewwork /servicescopesof the contractandworkchangerequestsandliaisewithsponsoringdepartmentsforimprovementsandchanges.

·Managementofcontractsbyrenderingcontractualsupportonresolvingdisputes,evaluationofclaims,variationsandsettlementoffinalaccount.

·Ensurethat projects execution,contracts,variations
and claimsareinfullcompliancewiththeSIPC PoliciesandProcedures including Contract and procurement
policies and tendering committees.

·Assist in resolving disputes and claims
related to the project.

Requirements

Minimum
Qualification

§Bachelor'sdegreeinQuantitySurveying.

Minimum
Experience & Skills

§A
minimum of 2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying including Contracts
Management.

§sufficientknowledgeinthetechnicalandcontractualaspects specially FIDIC contract,isan addedvalue.

Processandplanallactivitiesrelatedtotenderingandintegratingthemallbymanagingtheprocessandadvisingrelateddepartmentscontinuouslywithcriticalissuesintermsoftimeandcostrelatedaspectsof

§theprojects.

§Thinkingwithinstandardizedandclearlydefinedpolicies.

§Reasonablevariablethinking,whichwouldberequiredto assist,adviceandformanopiniononcontractualaspects,claimsandpaymentswhicharenotbroadlydefined.

§Regulatedwithinpracticesandprocedures, however,requiredsomeassistanceanddecisiononthecontractualaspects.

§ProjectsandtendersofallAssets
DevelopmentDepartmentaremorethanOMR 3ManduptoOMR 30Mandmore.However,thenatureofthisjobwouldbelimitedtotheprocedure,buttheclaimisalargermagnitude.
