Librarian

Library Assistant

We are seeking a Library Assistant to join our team at our library in Khasab. As a Library Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the librarian in managing the day-to-day operations of the library. This is a part-time position suitable for students or individuals who do not have English as their first language.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the library collection
- Help patrons with locating and checking out materials
- Answer basic reference questions and provide general information about library services
- Process new materials, including cataloging and shelving
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, inventory, and preparing reports
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for patrons

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with some coursework in library science or related field
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with library software systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Salary: $1600 per month (part-time)

Location: Khasab (Preference for Indian candidates but open to all nationalities)
