Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Fujairah.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and auditing processes while ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger and manage monthly/yearly closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, management accounts, and variance reports comparing actual vs. budgeted figures.
• Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets Register, including additions, deletions, and depreciation.
• Conduct physical asset counts and prepare variance reports.
• Manage the payment process from initiation to release, ensuring compliance with Group Finance Policies.
• Perform supplier account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely reconciliations.
• Monitor bank transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Verify and record petty cash expenses submitted by custodians.
• Prepare and record monthly provisions, accruals, and prepayments.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and submit reports to authorities as required.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing necessary reports and documentation.
• Assist senior management with the preparation and submission of the annual budget.
• Support the Chief Accountant in assigned financial tasks and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a corporate or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
