The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher who understands the importance of learning through play for an August 2025 start. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player and comfortable working hard to create a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Theywill play a key role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning in our Early Years students, using continuous provision to enhance their growth and development.

The School

Cheltenham Muscat opened in September 2021 and is Oman's first, premium, British school, for boys and girls aged 3 to 18. Set on an outstanding state-of-the-art campus, students and teachers at Cheltenham Muscat benefit from world-class facilities for both academic and co-curricular learning as well as strong support from our partner school Cheltenham College, who have been providing exceptional education for students for over 180 years.

The Person

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore and learn.
  • Understand and utilise the concept of continuous provision, ensuring that resources are available to support children's learning and development throughout the day.
  • Work closely with other teaching staff, including assistants and specialists, to plan, assess, and adapt teaching strategies based on individualneeds.
  • Regularly observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Be a proactive member of the teaching team, willing to contribute to meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, including going the extra mile when needed.

Please note that candidates must have at least 3 full years of relevant teaching experience in order to obtain a work permit to teach in Oman.

Package Details
