Demand Planner

The Client:

Our client is a leading FMCG company in Oman with a strong market presence and a focus on operational excellence. They are looking to hire an experienced Demand Planner to drive accurate forecasting and enhance supply chain efficiency.

The Role:

As the Demand Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining demand forecasts that align with business goals. Your work will support strategic decision-making, improve inventory control, and ensure seamless coordination across departments.

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and historical sales data.
• Apply relevant forecasting techniques based on product category and market dynamics.
• Incorporate market insights, promotional plans, and seasonality into forecasts.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and warehouse teams to ensure aligned demand planning.
• Participate in S&OP meetings and communicate forecasts across functions.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, generate regular performance reports, and implement improvements.
• Use ERP and planning tools to manage data, KPIs, and reporting.
• Recommend safety stock levels and help prevent overstock or stockout situations.
• Continuously review and improve forecasting processes and tools.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 3-5 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting within the FMCG sector.
• Strong analytical and statistical modelling skills.
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and demand planning software.
• Advanced Excel skills with data analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
• Certification in Demand Planning (e.g., CPF) or knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
