About the job

The Houseperson ensures the cleanliness and tidiness of guest corridor areas, pantries, offices, and storage. Supports colleagues with linen collection and delivery, and ensures pantries are set up for efficient operation. Responds professionally and promptly to guest requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, flower office, pantries, and back-of-house areas.
• Refill pantries with minibar items, follow FIFO process, and conduct inventory controls.
• Store and set up extra beds, baby cots, and sofa beds according to standards.
• Assist florists in delivering flower arrangements from storage to floors.
• Refill and organize guest supplies and amenities in storages and pantries.
• Refill linen in pantries and storages; receive fresh linen and handle dirty linen with laundry.
• Support laundry, room attendants, and cleaning staff during peak times.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
• Use equipment and supplies correctly, adhering to safety regulations.
• Perform deep cleaning and inventory checks regularly.
• Provide friendly, seamless service at all times.
• Train new staff, apprentices, and trainees.
• Handle guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards of Mandarin Oriental Group.
• Report technical issues and missing items.
• Record guest preferences and suggest process improvements.
• Complete relevant administrative tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
