In this role, you will interface with supply chain, construction and contractor personnel in all materials fulfillment and operations. You will participate with the project management team in defining and developing the scope of work, and in preparing and coordinating materials management plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, and forecasts. You will ensure materials management operations comply with corporate, business unit and project requirements. Maintains direct working relationships with Project Management, Project and Field Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Project and Field Procurement personnel, Contractor and the Customer to ensure mutual understanding, development, and attainment of objectives, plans, and requirements for materials management of the project.
• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Field Engineering disciplines, work processes, and the deliverables produced.
• Intermediate knowledge of inputting requisitions, receipt, storage, and issue of materials into procurement software.
• Knowledge of vendor, fabricator, contractor, Customer and how outside data systems interact with procurement automation tools, knowledge of Bechtel's DSCS is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with work packaging, and materials status reporting.
• Basic skill in working with and communicating effectively with supervisors of other project functional groups, primarily contractors/Vendors, Engineering, Construction, and Project Management.
