Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Lead IM Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage all the IM activities (Knowledge, data and document management) and IM deliverables for a specific project and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.
  • Manage all aspects of IM for the PDO Feed office, including Detail design and operational services.
  • Support departmental improvement initiatives through adoption of processes, tools and resources.
Project Related
  • Ensure early engagement with the Projects Lead Consultant for all projects run out of the office.
  • Adapt the appropriate IM framework (EP Projects or other) to the specific needs of each project, documenting the project's strategy and plan for knowledge management, data management, document management, correspondence management, collaboration, application support, infrastructure support.
  • Implement, practice and monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
  • Ensure that the IM strategy and plan is based wherever possible on global standards and standard solutions available from IM for Projects team e.g. Engineering Information Specification (EIS).
  • Define IM resourcing, document numbering systems, project specific procedures, folder structures, IM system configurations, user registration requirements required to manage IM on the project.
  • Interface with Project team IM lead and EMC IM lead personnel and ensure the Detail design IM process and procedure are fully understood and communicated to the Vendors/Suppliers.
  • Ensure IM4P are set-up for supplier model in SPO/Extranet Live link.
  • Ensure all Vendors/suppliers focal point is provided with proper access to Extranet site.
  • On-board project teams in terms of their IM responsibilities.
  • Assist with the handover of project information to customer operating companies and/or EPC contractors.
  • Prepare IM input to Contract Tender documents and ensure compliance with the EIS.
  • Ensure IM is covered in all project controls (e.g. Quality management, Risk management etc.).
  • IPMS Custodian for FEED Office application.
Department Related
  • Manage operational Document Control Centre and staff, ensuring adequate resources and competencies delivered.
  • Monitor operational IT – IM services ensuring continuous improvement and realization of agreed Service Level targets.

Typical Responsibilities
  • Ensure obtaining As-Built information and providing solutions in the absence of As-built information.
  • Ensure management by team all technical clarifications on scope and needs.
  • Responsible for coordination with the asset teams for the information and technical discussions.
  • Accountable for the decision making on changes.
  • Ensure timely close out of all assurance reviews actions.
  • Ensure management of raising, uploading, liaising for approval of Technical Variances.
  • Ensure managing and approving of all TPS Final reports in timely manner.

  • Application and maintenance of globally aligned engineering processes, systems and tools (software).
Qualifications

What makes you remarkable?

  • Minimum 6 years in FEED/ENGINEERING and Minimum 12 years in oil & gas industry – preferably with Facilities engineering.
  • University Degree in Computer science, engineering or equivalent.
  • Good communicator with experience in leading small teams.
  • Formal project management and systems analysis experience.
