Job DescriptionMajor duties and responsibilities
- Overall responsible for the audit as in charge for medium and small clients. For large clients, act as semi-senior.
- Mentoring assistants, associates, trainees, and assisting with office orientation.
- Involved in planning and strategy of the audit.
- Monitoring budgets of engagements.
- Reporting including annual financial statements, management letters, key features memoranda, etc.
- Ensuring all review notes are cleared.
- Analytical review of full financial statements.
- Handling consolidations, especially in high-risk areas.
- Follow through to finalization.
- Audit administration.
- Client relations – interaction with client staff.
- Preparation and updating of system documentation.
- Preparation and completion of general file documents.
- Analytical review of financial statements, focusing on key financial statement captions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and investments.
- Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to team members to ensure timely engagement reviews.
- Updating system documentation and clearing review notes.
- Conducting thorough checks on working papers prior to management review.
- Developing industry knowledge to complement functional skills.
- Performing compliance testing, including system work.
- Auditing client's statutory records, internal controls, and consolidated accounts.
- Attending stock counts and following up on counts.
- Participating in pre-engagement planning with team members and client staff.
- Understanding client's business, products, performance, and accounting policies.
- Adhering to KPMG's code of conduct and risk management policies.
- Performing effective engagement wrap-up, assisting managers/partners, and ensuring proper documentation and filing.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor in Commerce or completed A levels or equivalent.
- ACCA - minimum of 9 papers completed (F1-F9).
- CPA – 2 papers completed.
- ICAEW – completed Professional Stage.
Work Experience Requirements
- 2-3+ years postgraduate experience.
- Knowledge of accounting concepts.
- Computer literacy.
Knowledge / Technical Skills
- Strong analytical skills.
- Customer focus.
- Mentoring new team members.
Linguistic Skills
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Language Skills
- English – Fluent in speaking, reading, writing, listening.
- Arabic – Fluent in speaking, reading, writing, listening.

- Proactive, independent, and able to initiate tasks.
- Research skills to identify, document, and share useful knowledge.
