EOI Senior Pipeline Engineer

Job Description

Wood is currently seeking expression of interest for a Senior Pipeline Engineer (Offshore) to join our office in Muscat, Oman. In this role you will execute the activities and processes associated with Pipeline Engineering in the Project. Apply and expand hands-on experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and commissioning and Operation oil & gas industry. Responsible for supporting and executing general engineering activities directly linked to Pipeline engineering.

1. Execute the Pipeline offshore Engineering technical detailed design scope and endeavor to bring out the best tactics and approaches to deliver the technical requirements.
2. Prepare the necessary documentation, establishing major methods and data as necessary, and ensure the selection of the optimum offshore Pipeline design from both technical and economic standpoints.
3. Prepare the necessary documentation, establishing major methods and data as necessary, and ensure the selection of the optimum offshore loading buoy type and location for the anchoring offshore from both technical, economic and environmental condition at site standpoints.
4. Ensure that design method, standards and data used conform to Asset Owners requirements and/or those issued by Centre of Excellence.
5. Ensure the preparation of the Pipeline and Stress Analysis Philosophy document incorporating user requirements.
6. In consultation with Project Delivery Skill-pool, assign appropriate Pipeline engineering resources and monitor performance to ensure all Pipeline Engineering deliverables are accomplished.
7. Be responsible for the coordination, execution, and progress of Pipeline Engineering design under TL.
8. Be responsible for the accuracy of offshore Pipeline layouts, standards, and isometrics.
9. Be responsible for stress analysis of all Pipeline as per company procedures and/or approved international practices.
10. Be responsible for technical accuracy, quality, and economy of Pipeline engineering applications design.
11. Liaise with Vendor's peers representatives and other functions on all matters relating to pipeline engineering design and execution.
12. Ensure Company Safety and Quality control procedures are followed during the execution of all work and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all design work.
13. Participate pre and post contract award in discussions with Asset Owners to assess and assist in the definition of user requirements.
14. Analyze Pipeline Engineering Deliverables and participate in project reviews and workshops.
15. Participate in solving specific Pipeline engineering challenges that are recognized during the development of the Front End Package or detailed engineering.
16. Identify specifics gaps in existing practices and tools and manage the process of developing new practices or toolkit items that enhance Company technological offerings.
17. Conduct or supervise site inspection for accuracy of Pipeline and equipment including mechanical walk-downs.
18. Be responsible for the coordination, execution, and progress of pipeline engineering design.
19. Report any breaches of safety procedures to supervision/management.
20. Actively participate in and promote company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensure personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
21. Other relevant duties as requested from time to time.

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
3. Experience in Middle East is preferred.
4. Proven core Pipeline Engineering skills, including design experience (FEED and detail engineering) and preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
