Accountant - Salalah, Oman

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Salalah, Oman. The successful candidate will manage financial records, prepare and analyze financial statements, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all financial transactions and records
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  5. Monitor budgets, expenses, and revenue
  6. Handle accounts payable and receivable
  7. Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or errors
  8. Provide financial guidance to management
  9. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks or Sage
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant software
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Experience working in the Middle East
  • Knowledge of local tax laws
  • Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not required
Salary and Benefits:

The salary is $1300 per month. The position includes accommodation and offers opportunities for growth. Immediate availability is preferred due to urgent hiring needs.
