Central Bank of Oman is seeking to Recruit Competent, Committed, Self-motivated and Enthusiastic Omani Candidate as BI Developer.

Job Purpose:

To design, develop, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making within the Central Bank of Oman. The role is pivotal in transforming complex data into actionable insights for users across the whole institution hence supporting compliance monitoring, risk assessment, supervisory activities, and policy development.

Key duties and Tasks:

  • Design and build interactive dashboards and standardized reports using BI tools to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with large and complex datasets to derive trends, anomalies, and actionable intelligence relevant to the regulatory functions.
  • Engage with departments (e.g., Supervision, Economic Research, Regulation) to gather reporting requirements and translate them into functional BI solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used for reporting by applying data validation and cleansing techniques.
  • Automate recurring reports and enhance existing dashboards to improve performance and usability.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for BI tools and reports.
  • Adhere to data protection, privacy policies, and regulatory compliance frameworks in the development and delivery of BI solutions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in a major BI tool (e.g., Power BI and/ or Tableau).
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing dashboards and reports using modern BI tools.
  • Proven experience in data preparation, data transformation, and visualization for decision support.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Big data Analytics, or Business Intelligence
  • Training or certification in regulatory operations or financial services.
  • Prior experience working in a financial service, regulatory, or banking environment.
  • Familiarity with prudential regulation, anti-money laundering (AML), consumer protection, or supervisory technology (SupTech).
  • Experience in delivering analytics solutions aligned with strategic regulatory objectives or compliance reporting.
