1.JOB SUMMARY/SCOPE:

  • Instruction Activities:

a.Effectively organize, teach and evaluate student performance and progress in assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum.

b.Prepare and present lessons in (Electrical / instrumentations) courses and conduct both Classroom and .

c.Maintaincourse curriculum and provide student guides for all courses taught.

d.Design and implement teaching methodologies for classroom and laboratory activities which develop the required competencies of the students.

e.Arrange workshops for student practical experiences and monitor progress.

f.Assist in the process of requesting, coordinating and maintaining instructional equipment and supplies.

g.Prepare and administer examinations and other evaluation tools.

h.Evaluate and record student performance and progress.

i.Assist in the development of new courses and revisions to existing courses and instructional materials to ensure continued program growth and development.

j.Ensure high quality standards in course materials and delivery are maintained.

  • Business Area Activities

a.Obtain and maintain international accreditation

b.Maintain contact with industry groups concerning industry training needs and update courses as required.

c.Regularly engage in professional development activities and keep current with developing trends and ideas in profession.

d.Assist in the budgeting process.

e.Advise students on academic matters and related concerns.

f.Encourage and foster student participation in professional organizations and community activities.

g.Exhibit strong leadership skills, including motivation and management of objectives.

h.Assume responsibility, deal effectively with problems, and exercise independent judgement when making decisions.

i.Maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, administrators, and other instructors.

2.RESPONSIBILITIES

·To prepare new curriculum according to the international standards and review the curriculum periodically and update as required in the relevant field of training

·To deliver Classroom based , practical and Onjob Training at the Process /Utility facility for Oil & Gas Industry

·To Carry out Assessments as per Competency Management System OPITO standards to check the candidate knowledge in three stages for Basic Skills for Observations, Practical Skills for Demonstration of capability and Discipline Skills for Demonstration of Competency at both classroom training stage as well as OJL

·To Plan and facilitate all the necessary documentation, resources and facilities are made available as per the requirements of International Accreditation & Approving from local approval body

·To meet various operations regularly to maintain relationship with the respective Talent Development and Operation departments focal point to make sure that their training needs are met

·To work on continuous process improvement in Training process by implementing efficient systems that will help the Trainers and the course booking team to deliver training and issue course completion certificates on time.

·To maintain Asset Register and maintenance logs for all the equipment's and consumables used in Training Centre and enable the team to update them periodically and to prepare all purchase & service request required for the Department

·To prepare all the course related documents including course materials, Assessments and scheduling of various Courses and long term programs

·To assist in preparation of the budget required for the Training Department for each year and to work on optimizing the cost and resources to reduce the operational expenses.

3.SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATION

Academic Qualification:

Bachelors/master's degree in Instrumentation

Experience:

·Operational Experience 8 to 10 Years in Instrumentation in Oil & Gas Industry or relevant domain

·Training Experience minimum 4 to 5 Years in Oil & Gas industry

·Have thorough knowledge and understanding in process and operation of Oil & Gas process & Facilities ( Upstream/ Midstream & Downstream)

Skills:

·Excellent communication and presentational skills.

·Proficient in use of MS Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Certifications:

·OPTO level 3 Assessor Qualification or similar

·Train the trainer

·CompEx certification (Preferred not Mandatory )
