Responsibilities:
- Assist Head - Government Banking in building/developing strong banking relationships and account management of Ministries & other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds accounts in accordance with the bank strategy & goals.
- Assist Head-GB in management of the Ministries, other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds accounts.
- Explore potential new business opportunities, specifically mobilizing of new low-cost deposits, new client accounts, and achieving the allocated targets.
- Manage a portfolio of existing Ministries, other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds accounts.
- Liaise with branch managers to ensure successful management of all accounts of Ministries, other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds.
- Provide specialized financial services to the Ministries and specialized schemes for Government Employees in coordination with Wholesale and Retail Banking and liaise with Treasury related to Forex, special interest rates, etc.
- Liaise with Head - Government Banking and Head office Departments to identify opportunities for cross-selling other products/services provided by the bank.
- Maintain/enhance account relationships with Government Ministers and Departments and ensure branches provide the required services.
- Perform regular visits to ministries and other Government/Quasi Government Institutions to review suggestions and remedial action for complaints, if any.
- Maintain/update database for all Ministries & other Government/Quasi Government Institutions & Pension Funds accounts.
- Act as a primary contact point between the Bank and the Government/Quasi Government Institutions.
Requirements:
- Arabic - Fluent / Excellent
- English - Fluent / Excellent
Job Skills:
- Diploma Certificate with a minimum of 8 years of banking experience in a related field.
- Bachelor Degree with a minimum of 4 years of banking experience in a related field.
General Requirements / Skills / Competencies:
- Omani National preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Bank's Policies and Marketing Strategies.
- Possess sales & marketing skills.
- Possess strong executive contacts & relationships.
- Strong bilingual candidate in Arabic and English.
- Effective communication and presentation skills (Oral and Verbal).
- Good leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Self-motivated, initiative, innovative, and dynamic.
