Job Description
  • Oversee and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring all work is executed safely and efficiently
  • Execute maintenance plans across multiple rigs, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and minimizing downtime – utilization of Business Intelligence Tools (myBit) for planning and forecasting of planned WOs
  • Understand rig operations in order to best plan and best utilize specific operational flat times in order to conduct preventive maintenance
  • Strong financial awareness and budget control
  • Monitor and ensure timely closure of work orders, maintaining accurate records within the company's Computerized Preventive Maintenance System (CPMS).
  • Evaluate recurring equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend long-term solutions.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:
  • Manage, mentor, and coach rig-based maintenance crews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • Provide technical support and guidance to senior maintenance personnel on rigs, ensuring adherence to best practices
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams – rig operations, and HSE departments, to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities

Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure strict adherence to Nabors policies, procedures, CPMS guidelines, API, IADC, IEC, OEM, and other industry standards as applicable.
  • Maintain compliance with explosion-proof installation and maintenance regulations; certification in this area is preferred

Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
  • Analyze NPT and all relevant maintenance performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance costs while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.
  • Work closely with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of critical spare parts and reduce lead times.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 8–10 years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas drilling industry – electrical background preferred
  • Strong expertise in mechanized drilling equipment (Top Drives, Iron Roughnecks, Automated Catwalks) as well as power plant equipment - Electrical motors, Generators, SCR, MCC etc.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, SCR/VFD drives, PLCs, and explosion-proof equipment
  • Hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems and work order management.
  • Strong knowledge of API, IADC, IEC, OEM, and other industry regulatory standards.
  • Certification in explosion-proof installation and maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach and mentor teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
