Job Description- Oversee and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring all work is executed safely and efficiently
- Execute maintenance plans across multiple rigs, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and minimizing downtime – utilization of Business Intelligence Tools (myBit) for planning and forecasting of planned WOs
- Understand rig operations in order to best plan and best utilize specific operational flat times in order to conduct preventive maintenance
- Strong financial awareness and budget control
- Monitor and ensure timely closure of work orders, maintaining accurate records within the company's Computerized Preventive Maintenance System (CPMS).
- Evaluate recurring equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend long-term solutions.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Manage, mentor, and coach rig-based maintenance crews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
- Provide technical support and guidance to senior maintenance personnel on rigs, ensuring adherence to best practices
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams – rig operations, and HSE departments, to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities
- Ensure strict adherence to Nabors policies, procedures, CPMS guidelines, API, IADC, IEC, OEM, and other industry standards as applicable.
- Maintain compliance with explosion-proof installation and maintenance regulations; certification in this area is preferred
- Analyze NPT and all relevant maintenance performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance costs while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.
- Work closely with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of critical spare parts and reduce lead times.
- Minimum 8–10 years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas drilling industry – electrical background preferred
- Strong expertise in mechanized drilling equipment (Top Drives, Iron Roughnecks, Automated Catwalks) as well as power plant equipment - Electrical motors, Generators, SCR, MCC etc.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, SCR/VFD drives, PLCs, and explosion-proof equipment
- Hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems and work order management.
- Strong knowledge of API, IADC, IEC, OEM, and other industry regulatory standards.
- Certification in explosion-proof installation and maintenance is highly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach and mentor teams.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
