Spa Therapist

Duties And Responsibilities

As Spa Therapist, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following areas:

• Have thorough knowledge and be able to perform spa menu face and body treatments as per Six Senses Spas standards.
• Ensure treatment rooms are always stocked with supplies as per standards.
• Request and log stock of supplies necessary for the treatment rooms.
• Set up the treatment rooms according to standards.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service to guests at all times.
• Serve welcome drinks or other menu offerings to guests when required.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of the Spa and treatment rooms.
• Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe condition.
• Uphold Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation, maintaining and exceeding performance benchmarks.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Spa Therapist successfully, I must possess the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, demonstrating proven results. These include:

• A high school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years' experience in luxury spas and health clubs, with proven references. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• Graduation or extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, and beauty therapy at NVQ, ITEC, or CIDESCO level.
• Understanding and specialization in various beauty products and aesthetic appliances, including their specifications and uses. Knowledge of facial, nail, or other beauty technologies required for spa treatments.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to live in a remote location for extended periods and travel on single status.
