Specialty Coffee Barista

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team in Salalah, Oman. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional specialty coffee experiences to our guests.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop or café in Oman. They will possess a deep knowledge of coffee beans, roast profiles, and brewing techniques, including espresso, pour-over, and French press. Strong machine-maintenance skills and attention to detail are essential, as well as excellent customer-service and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a range of specialty espresso-based and filter coffee beverages to a high standard.
  • Maintain coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) and ensure cleanliness of the coffee station.
  • Grind beans, adjust brew parameters, and dial in espresso shots for optimal flavor.
  • Educate guests on coffee origins, brewing methods, and tasting notes.
  • Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other café supplies; place orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth café operations.
  • Uphold all food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop or café in Oman.
  • Deep knowledge of coffee beans, roast profiles, and brewing techniques.
  • Strong machine-maintenance skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
