Job Title: Senior Accountant

As a key member of our team, you will oversee and manage the company's accounting operations.

This role involves ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. You will be responsible for carrying out the accounting tasks of the company, including invoicing, payment of suppliers, and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines in the fields of freight forwarding, warehousing, and transport.

You will also be responsible for keeping track of all financial transactions under your supervision of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Operations: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of invoice booking against service entries & vendor bills, reviewed and validated in the system to adhere to accounting policies.
  • Payment Processing: Process all receipts and payments as per credit terms/instructions with no overdue.
  • Reconciliation: Follow up on accrued logistics income and expenses, unbilled invoices, and open purchase orders for book closure.
  • Customer and Vendor Management: Reconcile customer and vendor ledgers and keep them up to date by closing unbilled invoices and LPOs, and contract receipts and payments on a job-by-job basis.

Additional responsibilities include preparing payments/receipts by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements & collections, maintaining records, carrying out reconciliation with customer and supplier statements & obtaining confirmation of balances, maintaining finance petty cash and settling urgent payments, and preparing accounting reports for management review.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
