Role Overview

This opportunity is for a secured role that will commence in the near future, subject to approval. As a senior professional, you will be responsible for overseeing key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.

You will possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio, as well as champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.

Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Manage the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.">
  • Be accountable for the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties.">
  • Manage costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges and present these to clients.">
  • Demonstrate experience of delivering service excellence to clients, commercial management across a variety of sectors, sound understanding of costing and timescales, proven experience in risk management and change control management, different types of contracts including method of measurement, knowledge of BIM techniques and applications, digital comprehension, detailed knowledge in most forms of contracts, value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction, contract administration and contract management, Capex V Opex Cost analysis/advice.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

">
  • ">
  • Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).">
  • Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.">
  • Extensive years of experience.">
  • Strong experience in administering FIDIC forms of contract (i.e. acting as the engineer).">
  • Strong experience in design & build (FIDIC yellow book).">
  • Strong bidding and business development experience.">
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.">
  • Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.">
  • Management experience within large, diverse teams.">
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.">
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.">
  • Experience in leisure projects.">
