Electrical Inspector Role Overview

  • This role involves inspecting the installation of LV/MV electrical systems, conduits, panels, and terminations to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • The inspector must verify that IRs are aligned with work completion and readiness for inspection, monitor correct installation of cable trays, earthing systems, and devices.
  • They must also ensure fire alarm, data, lighting control, and power systems meet quality standards and witness testing and commissioning activities including insulation resistance, continuity, and grounding.
  • Raising NCRs and tracking rectification measures related to electrical works is a key responsibility, as is coordinating closely with mechanical and architectural inspectors on shared spaces and false ceiling areas.
  • The Electrical Inspector must ensure adherence to local electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC) and safety regulations, document and report inspection findings and contractor performance.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Key Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 7 years of inspection experience in complex projects such as theme parks, hospitals, or airports.
  • Familiarity with ride systems, show lighting, and life safety electrical systems is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of testing protocols and international electrical standards.
