Oil & Gas Shutdown Project Inspector

We are seeking experienced and certified inspectors to be part of a challenging Oil & Gas shutdown project in Oman. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of plant operations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

1. Conduct detailed inspections of plant equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
2. Monitor shutdown activities, identify potential risks, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
3. Ensure all inspections are properly documented and results are reported to the project management team.
4. Oversee quality control and quality assurance activities related to welding operations.
5. Inspect and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and welding materials.
6. Review and approve welding documentation including procedures, test records, and inspection reports.
7. Collaborate with the engineering team to recommend improvements or repairs where necessary.
8. Perform damage assessments and recommend corrective actions to improve system reliability.
9. Conduct inspections of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) piping, equipment, and components to ensure integrity and performance.
10. Identify and assess any wear, damage, or failure in FRP systems.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant inspection, preferably within shutdown or turnaround projects.
• API Certifications: Minimum 1 API certification required (API 510, 570, or 653 preferred). 2 API certifications will be considered a plus.
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI Certification is mandatory for Welding Inspection.
• NDT Certifications (Level II or Level III) in RT, UT, MT, or PT.
• API 936 Certification is mandatory for Refractory Inspection.
• Proven experience with FRP inspection, particularly in the oil & gas or petrochemical sectors.
