Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior engineers on daily network operations and projects.
  • Maintain and manage all communication systems infrastructure in the field, including VSAT, Switches, Routers, Wireless LAN, telephone systems, wifi access points, Radios, and Thuraya units.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of network backbone and edge switches.
  • Facilitate coordination with ISPs for various tasks.
  • Oversee administrative duties such as Purchase orders, Inventory control, and equipment disposal.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware and software issues using specialized tools.
  • Ensure accurate logging and tracking of user problems using established IT ticketing systems.
  • Perform testing and installation of new equipment when required.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronics/Communications Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Cisco technical courses such as CCNA, Redline, or similar are highly recommended.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Oil and Gas Companies is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking Technologies, Routing and switching protocols, Cisco Call Manager, and Cisco wireless controller is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Access Points, and IP Phones is necessary.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime/overnight shifts.
