Construction Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Expert to join our team. As a key member of the construction team, you will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing structures made of wood, steel and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine materials needed for the project
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares or marking gauges
• Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, drills and sanders
• Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, staples or adhesives
• Install structures such as doors, windows, frames and trim according to specifications
• Repair or replace damaged wooden structures using hand tools or power tools
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times while working on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter with at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry
• Ability to read blueprints and building plans accurately
• Proficient in using hand and power tools effectively
• Good knowledge of different wood types and their properties
• Physically fit with good balance and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; Vocational or trade school certification in Carpentry preferred
• Prior experience working on construction sites in the Middle East is highly desirable
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage
