Senior Pipeline Engineer (Offshore) Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing pipeline offshore engineering technical detailed design scope and bringing out the best tactics and approaches to deliver technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the pipeline offshore engineering technical detailed design scope and develop effective strategies to meet technical requirements.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, establish major methods and data as required, and select optimum offshore pipeline design from both technical and economic standpoints.
  • Ensure the selection of the optimum offshore loading buoy type and location, considering technical, economic, and environmental conditions at site.
  • Maintain conformity with asset owners' requirements and/or those issued by Centre of Excellence regarding design methods, standards, and data.
  • Develop pipeline and stress analysis philosophy documents incorporating user requirements.
  • In consultation with project delivery skill-pool, assign pipeline engineering resources and monitor performance to ensure timely completion of pipeline engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate, execute, and progress pipeline engineering design under TL.
  • Verify accuracy of offshore pipeline layouts, standards, and isometrics.
  • Perform stress analysis of all pipelines according to company procedures and/or approved international practices.
  • Ensure technical accuracy, quality, and economy of pipeline engineering applications design.
  • Liaise with vendor representatives and other functions on matters related to pipeline engineering design and execution.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality control procedures during work execution and maintain high safety standards in design work.
  • Participate in pre- and post-contract discussions with asset owners to assess and define user requirements.
  • Analyze pipeline engineering deliverables and participate in project reviews and workshops.
  • Solve specific pipeline engineering challenges identified during front-end package or detailed engineering development.
  • Identify gaps in existing practices and tools and manage the process of developing new practices or toolkit items enhancing technological offerings.
  • Conduct or supervise site inspections for accuracy of pipeline and equipment including mechanical walk-downs.
  • Coordinate, execute, and progress pipeline engineering design.
  • Report any breaches of safety procedures to supervision/management.
  • Promote health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures and ensure personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Middle East preferred.
  • Proven core pipeline engineering skills, including design experience (FEED and detail engineering), preferably in oil and gas sector.
  • Offshore pipeline experience in similar projects mandatory.
  • Minimum 2 offshore projects as senior pipeline engineer.
