Field Operator - Key Role in Plant Operations

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, supporting production targets. This position involves performing routine operational tasks under supervision, adhering to safety and procedural standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in operating and monitoring process equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor and record equipment operational parameters, reporting abnormalities to supervisors or Control Room Operators.
  • Support system start-ups and shutdowns as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist in pressurizing and depressurizing equipment and pipelines when required.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Field Operator will be involved in regular checks of pressure, delta pressure, temperature, and level gauges, reporting irregularities to the Control Room. They will also follow instructions from supervisors to maintain stable plant operations and support production optimization.

Safety and Compliance:

The successful candidate must adhere to QHSE standards and procedures, including LOTO, PTW, TBT, and JHA. Proper documentation of tasks is essential in this role.

Requirements:
  • A technical degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical, Petroleum, or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Familiarity with plant equipment, processes, and ongoing activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. They should have a good understanding of Plant PFDs, P & IDs, drawings, Cause & Effect matrix, and Fire & Gas detection system philosophy. Basic computer proficiency is mandatory, with a good working knowledge of typical Microsoft software.
