Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare proposals for clients, including writing and coordinating with colleagues.
  • Coordinate multi-jurisdictional engagements and review inputs from other offices.
  • Ensure risk processes are adhered to at all times and consult with the risk team as needed.
  • Build relationships with client management teams and act as an ambassador for the firm.
  • Manage multiple priorities for various stakeholders and identify and manage risks.
  • Show interest in clients, market features, and technical aspects while providing input into designing solutions.
  • Identify areas for development and seek opportunities for greater responsibility.
  • Enhance the firm's reputation by delivering high-quality work and managing risk.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Indirect Tax, specifically Value Added Tax (VAT) in the GCC region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields with a strong academic background.
  • Strong academic background with ADIT/Accounting, ACA, CPA, ACCA, Masters in Taxation or Legal qualification preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in Indirect Tax, including VAT compliances, advisory, audit/assessments, and tax due diligences.
  • Basic knowledge of tax accounting, business development, client relationship, and client management.
  • Strong risk management knowledge and application.
  • Practice management skills, including debtors, timesheets, billing, and recovery.
  • Excellent report writing skills, including ability to write simple tax reports.
  • Proven track record of building lasting internal and external relationships.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
  • Highly motivated, achievement-oriented, committed, self-starter, and ability to prioritize work.
  • Personal drive and integrity to deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to high quality standards and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
