The role of Laser Technician involves a high level of precision and attention to detail. The technician is responsible for setting up and operating laser equipment for various medical, cosmetic, or industrial procedures.

1. Laser Equipment Operation

• Set up and operate laser equipment according to procedure specifications and safety protocols.
• Assist physicians or specialists during treatments such as hair removal, tattoo removal, skin resurfacing, and eye surgery.
• Calibrate lasers to ensure accurate output and make real-time adjustments as needed.

• Explain procedures and safety measures to patients or clients, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable with the treatment.
• Prepare the treatment area, applying protective measures such as goggles and shields as necessary.
• Position patients for optimal comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

• Clean, inspect, and maintain laser equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
• Troubleshoot and report any equipment issues or malfunctions, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and facility protocols.
• Follow strict laser safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and self, maintaining accurate treatment logs and patient records.
• Stay updated with industry standards, certifications, and safety regulations, adhering to local and national laser safety codes (e.g., ANSI Z136 standards).
