Job Description

Canonical is a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of open source innovation, publishing Ubuntu and driving AI, IoT, and cloud development. This role will lead our security risk management practice, shaping strategy and best practices to identify, track, and mitigate risks across all operations.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security risk standards and playbooks.
  • Analyze and enhance existing security risk management processes.
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate new security tools and methodologies.
  • Establish thought leadership for Canonical's security risk management expertise.
  • Design and deliver security risk learning materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional academic record with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven drive and ability to exceed expectations.
  • Deep motivation to stay ahead of technology security challenges.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills in business English.
  • Expertise in threat modeling and risk management frameworks.
  • Broad knowledge of operationalizing security risk management.
  • Experience with Secure Development Lifecycle and Security by Design methodology.
