Whole School Physical Education Teacher in Oman

We are seeking an experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our UK curriculum school in Oman. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who want to teach A level and enjoy a great work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons based on the UK curriculum, promoting a love of learning among students.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress to ensure they reach their full potential, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted strategies.
  • Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment that fosters a sense of community and respect among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school leadership team to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
  • Teach Secondary classes up to A Level, incorporating a range of teaching methods and technologies to cater to different learning styles.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience, demonstrating expertise in Physical Education teaching.
  • Swim Teaching Certification is essential, ensuring competence in water-based activities and swimming instruction.
  • Experience teaching A Level courses is desirable, showcasing ability to adapt to higher-level curriculum demands.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and a PGCE in Secondary Teaching are required, highlighting a strong foundation in education and physical education theory.
  • UK curriculum experience with QTS and Induction is preferred, indicating familiarity with British educational standards and policies.
  • Previous EAL experience is advantageous, demonstrating ability to support students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
  • Able to deliver active and engaging lessons, creating a stimulating environment that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being among students.
