About the Job

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HSE and be able to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, clients, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. HSE Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce existing HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
  2. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and perform safety audits.
  3. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to local and international maritime safety laws and environmental regulations, and maintain accurate HSE records.
  4. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  5. Incident Investigation: Lead thorough incident investigations, analyze causes, and implement corrective actions.
  6. Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency response planning and drills for marine and construction-related activities.
  7. Culture Enhancement: Foster a safety-conscious culture by encouraging active participation from all levels of the organization.
  8. Leadership and Communication: Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills when interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  9. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate HSE reports, documentation, and compliance records as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in HSE, preferably in maritime, construction, or offshore projects.
  • Strong understanding of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Certification in recognized safety programs (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
  • Proven track record in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to develop and deliver effective HSE training programs.
  • Familiarity with HSE software and tools for record-keeping and reporting.
