About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Specialist to join our team at SOHAR. As an Energy Transition Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our sustainability initiatives and ensuring their alignment with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to SOHAR's energy security and transition objectives.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics and AI to provide predictive insights that guide sustainability projects and decision-making processes.
  • Compile and interpret data to support the development and execution of sustainability initiatives, focusing on energy security and efficiency.
  • Maintain a comprehensive intelligence database that tracks key developments in new energies, materials, and global best practices.
  • Benchmark SOHAR's sustainability initiative against international standards, ensuring continuous improvement and leadership in the energy transition.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, communicating progress and strategic alignment.
  • Monitor the progress of sustainability projects, ensuring they remain aligned with SOHAR's strategic goals and global best practices.
  • Assist in research activities related to greenfield development and the integration of new energy technologies into SOHAR's infrastructure.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and recommend data-backed adjustments to enhance outcomes.
  • Provide analysis that supports the identification and mitigation of risks related to renewables connectivity, remote area growth, and financial resources.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of stakeholder engagement strategies, identifying opportunities to enhance SOHAR's relationships and influence in the sustainability arena.
  • Monitor global sustainability trends, including regulatory changes and industry best practices, to provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support sustainable financing initiatives, ensuring alignment with global standards and best practices.
  • Analyze compliance data to ensure SOHAR's practices meet or exceed international standards, providing recommendations for improvement where necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, supporting the communication of SOHAR's sustainability achievements.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of external partnerships, ensuring they align with SOHAR's sustainability goals and contribute to its leadership position.
  • Provide analytical support for SOHAR's participation in sustainability forums, ensuring the company's contributions are data-backed and impactful.
  • Ensure that all data and analysis provided align with SOHAR's broader sustainability strategy, supporting its goals of energy security and international trade leadership.
