Electrical Substation Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Substation Expert with extensive experience in delivering electrical substation projects. The ideal candidate will have over 15-20 years of dedicated experience and hold LEVEL III witness approval.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Verify the integrity of electrical systems, including system studies for protective devices, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Develop commissioning plans, conduct pre-commissioning checks, perform functional and performance tests on equipment and protection systems, resolve identified faults, create detailed documentation, and provide technical support to ensure project completion as per schedule.
  • Conduct thorough inspections, site testing, and tests on components, including differential and distance relays, to ensure correct installation, wiring, and grounding, verifying compliance with design specifications.
  • Perform functional tests on electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, relays, and protection systems, to ensure they operate as intended.
  • Analyze system data, conduct performance tests, and assess system efficiency to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks.
  • Provide technical expertise, support, and training to other engineers, project managers, and site personnel on operational procedures and system functions.
Qualifications:
  • Dedicated Protection and Commissioning Engineer with substation site-based responsibilities as per project requirements.
  • Over 15-20 years of experience in successful electrical substation project delivery.
  • LEVEL III witness approval.
