Civil/Structural Engineer Position

Parsons is currently seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workload of a Civil/Pipelines/structural Inspector, ensuring efficient task completion.

  • Evaluate Contractor materials and shop drawing submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Respond promptly to inspection requests, conducting site inspections and witnessing tests as necessary to support civil, structural, and piping matters identified by the Construction Supervision Team.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to verify that civil, structural, and piping works meet contract specifications.
  • Follow up on instructions and commitments associated with the construction project, maintaining open communication with stakeholders.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders. Additionally, they should have prior experience in potable water projects, including the successful completion of a large pumping station and/or large diameter water pipeline (DI or steel) project in a senior engineer role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex engineering tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, measurements, surveys, and designs as required.
  • Support the Resident Engineer and other construction supervision team members in reviewing project schedules and payment applications.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • No less than 15 years of experience in increasingly responsible positions within the industry.
