Purchasing Manager Role

Candidates are sought for a Purchasing Manager position at a leading hospitality establishment. The successful applicant will be responsible for procuring high-quality goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining efficient inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with the hotel's operational and financial goals.
  • To source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure best pricing, terms, and product quality.
  • To monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • To collaborate with department heads to understand purchasing needs and specifications.
  • To ensure compliance with hotel policies, legal requirements, and sustainability practices.
  • To maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices, and delivery documentation.
  • To conduct regular market and vendor analysis to optimize procurement performance.
  • To evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of purchasing experience in the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A high level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and health & safety standards is an asset.
